Anche quest’ anno seguendo la tradizione dei nostri padri, il Picnic Interstatale Pratolano è stato ospitato dal Club Pratolano di Toronto, con a capo il signor Bucci e la sua gentile signora Angela. 

Il sabato precedente la festa, il Club Pratolano di toronto dette ricevimento a tutti i pratolani venuti per il picnic in una sala con musica e rinfreschi, e i presenti apprezzarono la gentilezza e il trattamento avuto dai pratolani di Toronto. La data scelta dai nostri antenati per questa tradizione, iniziata nel 1935, fu il 4 luglio, che conincide con l’ anniversario dell’ Indipendenza degli Stati Uniti dall’ Inghilterra, avvenuta nel lontano 1776. Salvo qualche eccezione, durante gli ultimi anni, detta data e stata mantenuta fedelmente, e i pratolani di Toronto hanno mantenuto la stessa. Il parco situato nella priferia della città di Toronto, fu aperto alle 8:00 am con caffe e biscotti per gli intervenuti, e tutto fu gustato dai presenti. GRAZIE TORONTO  

È sempre un gran piacere vedere amici riunirsi, scambiarsi notizie reciproche e io sono certo che tutti i presenti hanno provato un gran piacere rivedere parenti amici d’ infanzia e ricordare Pratola. Leo Bucci e i suoi collaboratori avevano preparato un programma che si è svolto per tutta la giornata, con giochi, musica e divertimenti vari. Un plauso al Club Pratolano di Toronto. La giornata è stata mgnifica, un pò calda ma bella. ARRIVEDERCI A ROCESTER, (NEW YORK) l’anno prossimo.

Even this year, in following the tradition of our fathers, the Interstate Picnic Pratolano, was hosted by the Toronto Pratolano Club, lead by Mr. Bucci and his lovely wife Angela. On Saturday, the day prior to the picnic, the Toronto Pratolano Club, received all the Pratolani who had arrived for the picnic, at a local hall for refreshments and musical entertainment. All the guests appreciated the welcome and thoughtfulness expressed by the Toronto Pratolani.

July the fourth, was the day  chosen by our ancestors to hold this tradition, as it coincided with the anniversary of the American Independence from the British in 1776. Except for few exceptions during the last few years, this date has been faithfully maintained, as have the Pratolani of Toronto.  The park,  located on the outskirts of Toronto, was opened at 8:00 am, the arriving guests were served coffee and sampled an array of sweets. It is always a great pleasure to see friends reunite and exchange news, and I am sure that all in attendance had found  great pleasure in greeting relatives, childhood friends and reminisce about  Pratola.

Leo Bucci and his group, had prepared a wonderful program,  there were games for all, music and varied entertainment. Congratulations to the Toronto Pratolano Club. Though  the weather was a bit hot,  it was certainly a magnificent day.  SEE YOU NEXT YEAR IN ROCHESTER (NEW YORK).
