Oltre 350 fedeli arrivati da altre città hanno partecipato alla celebrazione del 40° anniversario della festa in onore di Maria SS. della Libera

La festività per la celebrazione del 40mo anniversario dell'arrivo della Statua della Madonna della Libera in questa città del ³Western Ontario² ha riscosso un grande successo.

Gli oltre 320 fedeli arrivati in 7 pullman dalle città di Niagara Falls, Welland, St. Catharines e Toronto si sono uniti ai numerosi fedeli londinesi per onorare insieme la proterettrice di Pratola e della Valle Peligna.

 Da annotare che all¹evento di quest'anno si è aggiunto per la prima volta un gruppo di 116 fedeli facendo parte dall'Associazione "Conca di Sulmona" di Toronto, sodalizio capeggiato dal signor Gino Ventresca.

I festeggiamenti hanno avuto luogo nella parrocchia italiana di Santa Maria, dove è stata celebrata una Messa Solenne da parte di S. E. il Vescovo John Michael Sherlok concelebrata dal parroco Fr. Joseph Dabrowsky ha fatto seguito la solenne processione accompagnata dalla Portuguese Band of London.

In serata i numerosi partecipanti sono stati allietati dalla musica dell'orchestra ³I tre colori², e dal Coro Folcloristico Italiano del Niagara, non sono mancati giochi per grandi e piccini.  (CORRIERE PELIGNO/GENTE ITALICA

Over 350 devout faithful arrived  from other cities to participate at the 40th anniversary  celebrations  in honor of  Maria SS. della Libera

The festivities for the 40th anniversary celebration of the arrival of the Statue of the Madonna della Libera to this city of Western Ontario received a great success.

More than 320 people  arriving aboard seven coach buses from the cities of Niagara Falls, Welland, St. Chatarines and Toronto, to join their numerous fellow London faithful to render honour to the procuress of Pratola and the Peligna Valley

It is worth noting that for this year's event,  taking part for the first time was a group of 116 faithful from the Conga di Sulmona Association of Toronto organized and led by Mr. Gino Ventresca

The celebrations took place at the Italian parish of Saint Mary, where a solemn mass was celebrated by S. E. bishop John Michael joined by the parish priest Fr. Joseph Dabrowsky which was then followed by the solemn procession through the streets of London. Accompanying the procession was  the "Portuguese Band of London".

In the evening, the many in attendance were entertained by the  music of the orchestra "I Tre Colori" and from the "Coro Folcloristico Italiano" of Niagara Falls.
