Non ce la fatta la squadra di Petrella a compiere …il colpaccio con la prima della classe. Nella foto la disperazione dell’ex Francesco Santilli  e del  segretario Gabriele Presutti al termine della gara. Al primo tempo per il quotato Montesilvano sembrava una passeggiata. Agli uomini del bravo Spadafora riusciva tutto alla perfezione. Triangolazioni veloci e via verso la rete difesa da Di Bacco : così all’inizio dell’incontro il Montesilvano passava in vantaggi. Le cose nella ripresa sono però cambiate. Un secondo tempo giocato dai giovani atleti del Pratola con la giusta determinazione. Con coraggio gli atleti peligni hanno attaccato fino all’ultimo secondo  …ma quel pizzico che manca per riuscire a vincere… si è evidenziato  ancor più. Una gara bella ma purtroppo ancora negativa per i nero stellati (oggi in casacca rosa). I 32 punti che dividono in classifica le due squadre non si sono visti. Apprezzamenti , al termine dell’incontro, del mister del Montesilvano ai ragazzi del Pratola ….Unica consolazione per i pratolani è proprio per il  mister del Montesilvano perché!? Perché si tratta del pratolano Sandro Spadafora, figlio di Tullio. Un allenatore vincente , ex grande calciatore, che sta portando la sua squadra alla conquista del campionato. Al termine dell’incontro il mister ha ricevuto i complimenti e gli applausi da parte degli sportivi pratolani. Ora i nero stellati sono ultimi in classifica con 15 punti. Una stagione buia che però nasconde l’impegno di molte persone. I risultati non arrivano nonostante l’impegno dei giovani atleti che si impegnano molto come molto si impegna mister Petrella ed il suo staff a cominciare dal dottor Luigi Polce. Quando l’impegno c’è tutto ed i risultati non arrivano…bisogna andare avanti ingoiando amaro , soprattutto lo staff dirigenziale che si impegna molto per assicurare massima assistenza agli atleti ed al mister. Tempi cupi…ma tra poco arriva la primavera…

Petrella's team's hopes of defeating the number one team in the standings failed to materialize. The photo reaveals the despair of  ex  Franceso Santilli and team secretary Gabriele Presutti at the end of the game. For the game favourite Montesilvano, the first half seemed like a walk in the park. For Spadafora's men everything seemed to work perfectly. The long perfect passing leading the ball into the net guarded by Di Bacco, puts Montesilvano into a quick lead. However in the second half things seemed to change. as the young Pratolano team showed more determination, and  plays more in the offensive role until the final whistle, displaying more of that grit necessary to win games. This was a good game even though the nerostellati (today wearing their pink shirt) lost. The 32 points spread in the standings between these two teams were really not apparent today.  At the end of the game the fans showed their much appreciation to the coach of Montesilvano and to the Pratolani players for their great effort. One consolation for the Pratolani is that Montesilvano's coach Sandro Spadafora is the son of Tullio Spadafora  from Pratola. Sandro is an ex talented player and a winning coach who is on his way to lead his team to clinch the championship, thus a well deserved round of applause for him at the end of the game. This loss puts the nero stellati in last place with 15 points as this has been a dark season for this team, which has obscured the efforts of many of the players. Winning seemed to have been illusive, but it has not dismayed the players from giving it their best as is also the case with coach Petrella and his staff starting with team doctor Luigi Polce, At times though you try your best it's still short of obtaining the results one would like, so it's necessary to keep swallowing that bitter pill as is the case for the managerial staff who have  continued to offer their maximum assistance to the players and coaching staff. It has been a dreary time.... but then spring is on it's way.
