La terra continua a tremare . Nell'Aquilano sono in tanti a dormire fuori casa. Molti in auto anche pre proteggere nel miglior modo possibile i figli. Le scosse, dicevo, continuano. Questa mattina ancora due di quelle forti. La tensione è dentro molti cittadino. Basta un rumore per far pensare al terremoto. E' un momento difficile per tutti. Si lavora ma si pensa al terremoto. In più punti di Pratola, come del resto in più più punti di altri paesi, a sera si creano dei veri e propri accampamenti. Tutti sono disponibili ad aiutarsi. Qualsiasi cosa uno ha , la mette a disposizione degli altri. Le chiese inagibili sono : il santuario Maria SS della Libera, San Rocco e quella della SS Trinità. Il palazzo Colella, con la bibliotaca, la sala multimediale ed il museo sono inagibili. I giovani stanno sempre più assieme. I nostri giovani sono in una situazione particolare. E' la prima volta che si assistono a questi eventi. Quelli che studiano a L'Aquila sono i più scossi perchè hanno perso i loro amici, i compagni di Università che ormai facevano parte della loro vita...come fratelli. Stamane, con mia moglie sono andato a Torre De' passeri per portare il saluto ai genitori di altre vittime. Persone che lavorano con mia moglie. Le scene di disperazione si ripetono. Sono le stesse viste al funerale della ragazza sepolta ieri a Pratola. A Pratola si avvicna la Pasqua in un modo insolito. Neinte processione del venerdì santo. Solo una fiaccolata e pregheredavanti al cimitero per ricordare le vittime. A Pasqua la santa messa all'aperto o nelle due chiese ancora agibili cioè S.Pietro Celestino e la chiesa della Madonna della Neve. A proposito di celestino V, Collemaggio è crollata ed il corpo del santo eremito Papa dovrà essere trasportato in altra sede. Si è offerto un nobile di Fumone che ha un castello famoso. Famoso perchè fu sede della progione di Celstino V ad opera di Bonifacio VIII. Per chiudere questo messaggio voglio sperare che si attenuino le scosse e che le persone che hanno perso tutto possano quanto prima trovare un pizzico di serenità con la ricostruzione della casa, luogo della famiglia.

The earth still continues to tremble. Many in the Aquila region are sleeping outdoors. Many of them sleep in their car in an attempt to protect their children as best  they can. As I said the aftershock continue still, two strong ones just this morning. The people are very tense. It only takes a simple noise to remind them of the earthquake. It is a very difficult time for everyone. One tries to work but the earthquake is always on their mind. Throughout Pratola and throughout other towns, the evening sees the creation of many campgrounds. Everyone is ready to help one another, putting everything they have, at everyone's disposal. The churches rendered inaccessible are, the sanctuary of Maria SS della Libera, San Rocco and the Holy Trinity. The Colella Palace, the library, the multimedia hall and the museum are also inaccessible. For our youth this presents a particular situation, as this is the first time in their lives they witness such an event. The students in Aquila are most affected, because they have lost their friends, university schoolmates that had become part of  their lives , just like brothers.   This morning I went with my wife to Torre De' Passeri, to visit some co-workers of hers in order to offer our condolences for the loss of their family members. These scenes of desperation repeat themselves. They are the same type of visits repeated at the funeral of the girl in Pratola. Easter is approaching, but in an odd way, as there will not be a Good Friday procession, only a candle light vigil by the cemetery in remembrance of the earthquake victims. Easter mass will be celebrated either outdoors or at one of the two churches that remain accessible; the church of St. Peter's Celestino or the Madonna della Neve. Speaking of Celestino V, Collemaggio  has collapsed, and the body of the hermit saint needs to be brought to another location. There has been an offer by a nobleman from Fumone, owner of a famous castle, the castle where Celestino V was put in prison by Bonifacio VIII.  In closing, I would like to hope that the tremors will soon end and that the people who have lost all,  can soon find a pinch of serenity with the rebuilding of their house and home.
