Anche quest’anno i festeggiamenti in onore di S. Antonio Abate sono stati svolti alla grande, grazie alla partecipazione di tantissimi devoti che hanno partecipato alle varie proposte della Arc. Confr. S.S. Trinità. Il gruppo della Trinità si è nuovamente distinti per l’iniziativa che ha permesso ai cittadini di incontrarsi e stare insieme nella serata delle “tentazioni”, durante la benedizione degli animali e durante la Santa Messa. Momenti religiosi importanti ed aggreganti per il popolo di Dio che anche attraverso le tradizioni dei padri, rinnovare la fede ed arricchirla di fraternità. La forza del Santo Eremita si espande con amore. Grazie ai Confratelli ed al Comitato dei Giovani per la proposta

Even this year the celebrations in honor of St. Antonio Abate were a great success, thanks to the participation of so many devotees who took part in the various activities put forward by the Archi Comfraternita S.S. Trinita'. The Trinity Group has again once again put forward an initiative that has enabled people to meet and get together on the evening of the "temptations", during the blessing of the animals and during the holy  Mass. Important and unifying religious moments for God's people who through the traditions of their fathers renew their faith and enrich it with  brotherhood . The power of the Holy Hermit expands with love. Our thanks to the Brothers and the Youth Committee  for their  work.

SCUOLA MEDIA …NATALE IN CHIESA

Anche quest’anno gli alunni della scuola media hanno partecipato alla tradizionale messa di Natale qualche giorno prima delle vacanze. A celebrare l’evento religioso è stato il parroco che ha voluto soffermarsi sul valore del Santo Natale sotto tutti gli aspetti. Anche il dirigente scolastico , dottor Renato Di Cato, ha approfittato dell’occasione per riportare all’attenzione i valori di amicizia e di solidarietà.

As usual this year's secondary school students attended the traditional midnight mass a few days before the holidays. To celebrate the religious event was the pastor who wanted to dwell on the value of Christmas in all aspects. and even the school principal Dr. Renato Di Cato, who took the opportunity to bring attention to the values of friendship and solidarity.

PREMIO ANTONIO DE NINO 2010

Nella Sala Consiliare si è tenuta la XI Edizione del Premio Antonio De Nino. Dopo i saluti del presidente dell’associazione prof Emiliano Splendore, del dottor Antonio De Crescentiis, della dottoressa Antonella Di Nino, del dottor Massimo Antonucci e del dottr Silvio Lancione, sono stati presentati i premiati. Il giornalista dottor Ennio Bellucci e la dottoressa Enrichetta Santilli hanno riportato la bio-bibliografia dei due premiati per questa edizione numero XI. Il premio è stato assegnato al prof. Gabriele Vitacolonna (premio sezione Storia dell’Arte) ed al professor Franco Cercone (premio sezione Demoetnoantropologia).

The 11th edition of the  Antonio De Nino award was held in the Council Chamber The awards were presented after the greetings offered by the association president  Professor Emiliano Splendore,  Dr. Antonio De Crescentiis ,  Dr. Antonella Di Nino, Dr. Massimo Antonucci and Dr. Silvio Lancione. Journalist Dr. Ennio Bellucci and Dr. Enrichetta Santilli reported on the  bio-bibliography of the two winners of the 11th edition. Professor Gabriele Vitacolonna received the award for Art History and Professor Franco Cercone the Demoethnoanthropological award

Una rete piena di 66 palloni. QUALCHE ANNO FA...

Definito l’ATTACCO ATOMICO del Pratola di tutti i tempi. Si tratta di Mondazzi Giuliano,Walter Petrella, E. Di Mascio , Aldo Presutti ed Elmo Giovannucci. Nel campionato del ‘65 realizzarono ben 66 gol ed il Pratola riuscì a fare 52 punti in classifica sui 60 disponibili. Un attacco micidiale che molti ricordano ancora ma che è importante far conoscere ai giovani così da spronarli a …fare meglio. Anche se non sarà facile , l’importante è provarci per dare a Pratola dei bravi calciatori come quelli della foto e di tanti altri che hanno scritto belle pagine di SPORT e di vita sociale. Per la cronaca in quell’anno l’attacco ATOMICO realizzò 16 reti con Mondazzi, 8 con Petrella, 22 con Di Mascio, 11 con Presutti e 9 con Giovannucci. La foto è stata realizzata nella ” rimpatriata” del 1996 presso il ristorante di Sergio Tequila.

Nicknamed the Pratolano Atomic Attack of all time. We talk about Mondazzi Giuliano, Walter Petrella, E. Di Mascio, Aldo Presutti and  Elmo Giovannucci. Duringthe 1965 championship they fabricated  66 goals and Pratola managed to get 52 points in the standings of the available 60. It was a  deadly attack that many still remember, but more important is to raise awareness among young people so as to urge them to do better .... Although it might not  be easy, it's important to try to produce players for Pratola like those  in the photo and many others who left their mark in the sports and social life. For the record that year in the atomic attack Mondazzi scored 16 goals, Petrella 8, Di Mascio 22, Presutti 11 and Giovannucci. 9. SCUOLA MEDIA : NASCE IL RUGBY

CORSA: PIERLUIGI INCONTRA I CAMPIONI STEFANO BALDINI E DAVIDE CASSANI

Alla recente maratona di New York si sono intrattenuti in un lungo colloquio niente meno che il campione olimpico di maratona Stefano Baldini e il nostro campione di corsa in montagna Pierluigi Polce. Per intenderci: una macchina da formula uno ed un'altra da rally….a braccetto! Durante la “chiacchierata” Baldini è rimasto sorpreso dai risultati che ha conseguito Pierluigi nelle più estreme maratone d’altura in Europa soffermandosi sulle difficoltà che si incontrano sia negli allenamenti che nelle gare. Al termine Baldini ha voluto abbracciare il nostro Pierluigi posando con lui per una foto ricordo dandosi appuntamento su un impervio sentiero d’alta quota, magari con alcuni tratti di arrampicata e una piccola bufera di neve a fare da compagnia. Il nostro atleta si è anche incontrato con il campione di ciclismo Davide Cassani ( 7° al campionato del mondo), passato ora alla maratona con tempi di tutto rispetto (vanta 2h 50’!!!) discutendo delle diversità tecniche degli allenamenti del ciclismo, del podismo e delle problematiche a livello muscolo tendineo che si incontrano passando da uno sport a contrazione muscolare concentrica ad una eccentrica. Grazie a Pierluigi per aver portato il nome di Pratola Peligna agli onori delle cronache nazionali, europee,ed ora anche…oltreoceano!

The recent New York Marathon saw none other than the Olympic marathon champion Stefano Baldini and our  mountain race champion  Pierluigi Polce meet for an informal conversation To be clear: a formula 1 car and rally  one. ... hand in hand! During thei "chit chat" Baldini was surprised by the results achieved by Pierluigi  in the most extreme mountain marathons in Europe  reflecting on the difficulties encountered both in training and in racing. Afterward Baldini  wanted to embrace our Pierluigi posing with him for a photo and  a promise to meet  on a rough path at high altitude, perhaps with some stretches of climbing and a small snow storm for company. Our athlete has also met with the champion cyclist Davide Cassani (7th ifinalist in the world championship), who is now running marathons (boasting a time of 2 hrs. and 50 min.) and discussing the diversity of the training techniques in cycling, and and running and the problem with the  muscles and  tendons encountered switching from a sport of concentric muscle contraction to an eccentric one. Our thanks to Pierluigi for taking the name of Pratola Peligna to the  national, European, and now ... overseas!  headlines.

AUGURI DALL’AZIONE CATTOLICA

Durante la celebrazione della Messa delle 11 del 26 dicembre, l’azione cattolica di pratola ha voluto donare una pergamena alle coppie che durante l’anno 2010 hanno celebrato i 10-25-50- anni di matrimonio. La bella ricorrenza è stata molto sentita dai festeggiati e dai loro parenti intervenuti . Dopo la messa l’Azione cattolica ha proposto un buon rinfresco ed un brindisi alla Casa Parrocchiale. Ringraziamo i membri dell’Azione cattolica per aver organizzato questa manifestazione carica di sentimenti e per il lavoro che quotidianamente svolge per la comunità.

During the 11 o clock  mass celebration on December 26, the Pratola Catholic Action Group offered a scroll to couples which during the year 2010 celebrated the 10th, 25th or 50th year of marriage. This annual recurrence was strongly heartfelt by the recipients and their relatives. After Mass the Catholic Action Group offered refreshments and a toast to the Parish House. Our thank to the members of Catholic Action Group for organizing this memorable event, and their daily work for the community.

Grazie ai fratelli Santilli ed ai molti altri orafi, da molti anni Pratola vanta un’alta qualità nella lavorazione dell’oro.
